What is a Nylock Nut?

A Nylock nut, also known as a nylon insert lock nut, is a locking nut with a nylon collar insert that creates friction on the screw threads, preventing loosening due to vibration or torque. The nylon insert grips the threads, providing a secure lock. While reusable, its locking efficiency reduces after multiple uses due to nylon wear.
